Arrow of Light Trail

As 2nd Year Webelos, we are now following the Arrow of Light Trail. To achieve the Arrow of Light we will be focusing on the following requirements this year:

  1. Be active in our Webelos den for at least six months and must earn the Webelos badge.
  2. Learn the requirements for becoming a Boy Scout.
  3. Earn five more Activity Badges in addition to the three we learned for Webelos Badge.
    1. Outdoorsman (page 344 - 345)
    2. Scholar (page 392 - 393)
    3. Engineer (page 212 - 213)
    4. Family Member (page 228 - 229)
    5. Naturalist (page 318 - 319)
    6. Communicator (page 166 - 167)
  4. Visit a Boy Scout Troop meeting
  5. Visit a Boy Scout Troop outdoor activity
  6. Attend a Webelos overnight camp out.
  7. Arrange a meeting with the Scoutmaster of the Boy Scout Troop you would like to join.
  8. Complete the Honesty Character Connection.
    1. KNOW: Say the Cub Scout Promise with your Family. Discuss these questions with them. What is a promise? What does it mean to keep your word? What does it mean to be trustworthy? What does it Honesty mean?
    2. COMMIT: Discuss these questions with your family. Why is a promise important? Why is it important for people to trust you when you give your word? When might it be difficult to be truthful? List examples.
    3. PRACTICE: Discuss with a family member why it is important to be trustworthy and honest. how can you do your best to be honest even when it is difficult?
